Synopsis

This short film in Motion Design was created based on a fictional brief for the launch of Montblanc’s new pen in collaboration with Wes Anderson. I wanted to pay tribute to the filmmaker’s cinema by incorporating his signature elements and unique style, both in terms of narration and visuals. This motion piece tells the dreamlike story of the creation of the Shreiberling (the name of the pen from this collaboration).

Synopsis

In the shortfilm Now, and never again, we meet Carla, whose friends has gone on vacation in a cottage without her. Therefore, she wants to show them that she is in control and that she is not alone, by doing a number of activities with her old friend Casper. Carla is somewhat of a nerd, but holds a façade of a “basic” girl to fit in. However, Casper knows who Carla truly is and is trying to teach her to just be herself, but Carla knows that this will cost her some of her friendships.

Synopsis

Adaupa——The name of the female protagonist
This is a documentary about an ordinary, self reliant, wild and spontaneous Yi girl that I left Shanghai in May June last year and went to the mountains of Yunnan to film.

Her name is Adaupa, a portrait photographer of ethnic minorities, with a motorcycle, a camera, and fluent dialect. She traveled throughout southwestern China and even border areas, recording the oldest clothes and most beautiful faces. At the age of 16, she walked out of the mountains and now back to the mountains. She said that extinction is not true death, forgetting is.

Adaupashi went from being an ordinary restaurant front desk waiter to picking up a camera to shoot minority photographers, and I saw a beautiful wild flower.

Dovydas Drakšas

Dovydas Drakšas is a Lithuanian writer and director who currently resides and works in Berlin. He has a degree in natural sciences from the University of Cambridge and a master’s in filmmaking from the London Film School. He is attracted to stories that explore how elements like memories and upbringing, location and society play an important role in shaping personal identity. “Praeis” is his second short film and a graduation project from the London Film School.
