Anne-Sofie Lindgaard

Anne-Sofie is born in 1996 in Denmark. In 2015 Anne-Sofie moved to Copenhagen to study a 6 months film course at Copenhagen Film and Photography School. After her stay in Copenhagen she moved to New York where she studied a 3 months course in Advanced Cinematography and Lighting at School of Visual Arts. Following her stay in New York, Anne-Sofie worked for two years in Copenhagen until she got accepted into University of the Arts London in 2018, where she is studying Film & TV in London today.
With “5800” Anne-Sofie made the move from cinematography to directing. As a director, she is drawn to portraying young women told with a female perspective. “5800” is Anne-Sofie’s directorial debut.

Vasilis Kekatos

Vasilis Kekatos was born in Kefalonia, Greece in 1991. He received his BA in Film Studies from Brunel University of London. His first short film, Retrograde (14’, 2015), was selected by Drama ISFF and Athens Premiere Nights IFF. With his second short Zero Star Hotel (6’, 2016), he won Sundance Ignite “What’s Next?” Short Film Challenge and received a mentorship from Sundance Institute. His latest short’s script, The Silence of the Dying Fish, participated in Euro Connection 2017 in Clermont-Ferrand ISFF, as well as in Nisi Masa ESP 2017. Vasilis has worked as a director on several short documentaries and he is also the artistic director of SeaNema Open Air Film Festival. He lives and works in Athens.

J.L. Wolfenstein

I was born in Paris, 1991. Growing up with music videos and late 90s films, I knew pretty early on that’s what I wanted to do. Loved Gondry, Fincher, Spielberg – then on to Kubrick, Aronofsky, The Coen brothers and so many more. I got my first camera at age 14, and I’ve moved on from project to project ever since. So I went to film university where I got my degree and met great people.

One thing I love in movies is how sound can tell stories. In 2014, still finishing up my studies, I co-wrote and directed my first short Noise & Confusion about a rare auditory symptom called hyperacusis, which was awarded Best Score at the TMC London Festival.

Sound design and stories where sound plays an important part continue to fascinate me, I always try to include it in my work, commercials or short films. I’m now writing a mini-series and developing my first feature script.

Marc Eikelenboom

Marc Eikelenboom (Vlaardingen, 1970) worked as an actor for years, before starting a career as a movie director in 2013. He developed his skills within the 48 Hour Film Project, earning a lot of prizes and nominations. The biggest success came in 2016, winning the editions of Rotterdam (with Underdog) and Amsterdam (with My Pleasure). During the world final of the 48 Hour Film Project in Seattle My Pleasure received prizes for Best use of Genre and Best Cinematography as well, beating over 5.000 participating films. In 2017 Eikelenboom made the film Cross the Bridge commissioned by De Wereld Draait Door, the number 1 talkshow in the Netherlands. It was broadcasted to over 1,5 million Dutch television users and screened in theatres throughout the country. The director is now working on a 30 minute’ short film titled ‘Masterpiece’. The recordings toke place in the United States in 2017.
